Part One: Your Information
Who this covers
This part explains what Long Beach Demolition Co does with details that reach us through this website, by phone, or through the contact form. It applies to anyone requesting a demolition, concrete removal or hauling estimate for a property in or around Long Beach, California.
What reaches us
- What you type or tell us: your name, phone number, email, the property location and a description of the work you have in mind.
- Passive browsing signals: pages viewed, rough time on site, the referring page, browser and device type, and approximate location derived from network data. We collect these through analytics and site-measurement scripts that load after the page is interactive.
- Cookie preferences: a small record of the choice you make in the cookie notice.
- Call details: if you phone us, the number you called from and the call time may be logged by our phone provider.
Why we keep it
Mainly to answer you. We use contact details to reply, to arrange a site visit and to prepare a written estimate. Browsing signals help us see which pages are useful and which are broken. We may also retain records where a legal, tax or insurance obligation requires it, or to protect ourselves in a dispute. We do not send marketing mailings you did not ask for.
Who else may see it
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent contact lists. A limited set of outside providers may handle data on our behalf: website hosting, form-delivery and email services, analytics, and call tracking. We may also disclose information when a court order, regulator or other legal process requires it, or if the business is sold or reorganized.
Cookies and measurement
Cookies and similar technologies help the site remember your consent choice and let us measure traffic. You can decline non-essential cookies in the notice shown on your first visit or clear them in your browser settings. Some browsers also send a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal; since there is no single standard for how sites should respond, our handling of those signals may be limited.
California residents
Where applicable, California privacy law — including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA) — may give you rights to know what personal information a business holds about you, to ask for correction or deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Those laws only reach businesses that meet certain thresholds, and whether they reach us has not been confirmed. To make a request in any case, reach us using the details at the end of this page and we will respond as the law requires. We will not treat you worse for making a request.
Keeping data safe
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No website or email system is fully secure, so please avoid sending sensitive items such as financial account numbers through the form.
Minors
The site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect details from anyone under 18, and will delete anything we learn was submitted by a minor.
Updates
When this policy changes we will revise the date in the notice at the top of the page. Continuing to use the site afterward means you accept the revised version.
Part Two: Environmental Practices
How we think about Long Beach jobs
Long Beach sits beside the harbor, the coast and some very dense neighborhoods, so demolition here touches air, water and neighbors at once. The practices below describe what we plan for; the rules that apply to a specific property depend on its age, location and scope, and we ask clients to confirm current requirements with the relevant agency.
Sorting and diversion
The City of Long Beach asks demolition projects to follow a construction and demolition waste management plan with a diversion goal (we understand 65 percent, but confirm the current figure with the city). We plan to separate loads so material can be recycled where facilities accept it.
- Concrete and masonry go to crushers that make base rock and aggregate.
- Clean lumber is pulled out for chipping or biomass reuse when it is not contaminated.
- Metals such as rebar, copper and aluminum go to scrap yards.
Weight tickets and receipts are kept so a project can document what was diverted.
Asbestos, lead and other hazards
Before demolition starts, an asbestos survey is typically needed, and the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) Rule 1403 calls for advance notification even when none is found. Older buildings may also contain lead-based paint. Regulated material is removed by appropriately certified abatement contractors, not by our demolition crew.
Dust and wind
Onshore breezes can carry dust quickly. We plan for water misting, wetting of debris piles, covered loads and fencing or screening when the site is close to neighbors, schools, or the water. Rain-season runoff controls are also considered.
